Pricing & Process

Pricing

Okay, I’m not going to lie to you. The price you pay is based on a sliding scale of the following factors:

  • What the project is worth to you and your company.
For example, a firm with 200 employees needs a more developed logo than a new startup of one person, but they both need a great logo, and you’re not going to get that from some faraway company online.
  • How much work is involved
There’s a lot that goes into that equation— the biggest one being how much you trust me to design for you.
  • Timing and timeframe
If I’m terribly booked up and you need something right away, don’t expect any favors. It’s usually the client that has to get this done “right away” that disappears for weeks at a time.

Process & Payment

I bill projects in thirds:

  • 1/3 of the total will be due up front to get the project started.
During this part of the project, a certain amount of research, sketching, and brainstorming between us will occur. We’ll look at sketches by email and find a logical direction to take your project.
  • 1/3 of the total will be due upon choosing of a direction
At this point, we’ll take that initial direction and refine, shape, mold, pick colors, and get really nitpicky. We’ll finally arrive at a final design.
  • 1/3 of the total will be due upon delivery
You’ll receive a copy of your project in necessary formats, and we’ll part ways.
